Mr Lewis has gone into the stationery storeroom to get some exercise books. As he's going to be in and out he leaves the door open with the key still in the lock. Justine happens to be passing and seizing the opportunity; she slams the door shut and locks it. Mr Lewis shouts for her to come back, but she just makes a rude gesture and runs off laughing. Half an hour later Headmaster Tom comes to his rescue. He has to resort to picking the lock in order to free a very distressed Mr Lewis. So the headmaster and teacher go in search of Justine. Having found her, they drag her screaming and kicking down the stairs into HM Tom's office. Mr Lewis goes off to do some work, leaving HM Tom to deal with the mischievous girl. He wastes no time in starting the punishment. Her bottom is already bare, so he puts her over his knee for the obligatory hand spanking. He then moves onto using the cane. First the thick cane, then the thinner more whippy cane, that is much quicker. When he feels she's had enough and has been punished enough, he has her kneel on the tiled floor, with her hands on her head. He calls for Mr Lewis to come and inspect her very sore red bottom. Mr Lewis agrees that she has been punished enough. He also agrees that she should be left kneeling on the tiled floor for about two hours. Poor Justine – it was all just meant as a joke.
