Christine is lying on her bed reading a magazine – the door to her room is pushed open roughly and Headmaster Tom comes in. He reminds her of why he is there. She has had a week to memorise the ten most important rules of Girls Boarding School. Now he is going to test her. He asks her what is rule number 5. She answers that perfectly. Unfortunately, it's the only rule she has learned. He's exasperated with her. So he tells her to kneel on the bed – facing the wall. She is quick to obey. But! There is something she's forgotten. Her skirt should be up, clear of her bottom. Again, she is quick to obey. Oh dear, she's in even more bother. She's wearing skintight red knickers. Definitely not school knickers. He gives her a piece of paper with a list of the rules on it. The idea is that she should read the rules aloud while he brings the big leather paddle down on her bottom. As one of the rules is ……to always wear correct school attire, that should be a rule that she will remember in future. He keeps swinging his arm – and with each stroke of the paddle her poor bottom is becoming a deeper shade of red. Punishment over, he insists on her thanking him for the punishment. Telling her to stay kneeling on the bed and to memorise the ten rules, he'll be back in one hour and woe betide her if she still isn't word perfect. So she's going to have to concentrate and get her brain in gear.
