Headmaster Tom can't believe what he is hearing. One of his students Tina, from Girls Boarding School is in hospital after being beaten up – by Lisa another student. He shouts for Lisa to join him in his office. After some questioning, she tells him the truth – the whys and the wherefores. She blames it all on her hands that turned into wild hands. He gives her a talking to. Girls at GBS do not use violence on their fellow students, no matter what the provocation. Lisa has to be punished. HM Tom tells her he's going to tame her wild hands. Telling her to hold out her left hand – he brings the leather tawse down on the palm of her hand. Then she has to hold out her right hand for the same treatment. She has to quickly hold out alternate hands followed by both hands being tawsed together. And the worst humiliation. He phones Tina and apologises on behalf of GBS – telling her that Lisa wants to have a word with her. Lisa also apologises and promises it won't happen again. As the final part of the punishment, she has to stand, hands on her head in full view of anyone passing – for five minutes, with tears of pain and shame running down both her cheeks.
