Her weak excuses of being bored and just letting innocent flirting go a little too far are hardly sufficient, surely she knew what she was doing, and who knows how much farther she might have gone in time. She agrees that she does have a good husband and life, and doesn't want to do anything to hurt him or destroy it. She was quite simply being foolish, flirting secretively with men online out of boredom or maybe desiring a self esteem boost. One thing led to another with one of them, which led to the illicit little lunchtime rendezvous that her mom witnessed. She thought that she could play with fire without consequence, and there really is no more to her defense. Anna is very concerned that Lily would start down a self destructive path like this at all, and intends to do whatever is necessary to put a stop to it.
