Here is the story: Mary Peace is troubled and writes to Mr. Stern, he agrees to help her and she understands the nature of this help. In this excellent film we watch as she is taken from her cocky secure position to one of total submission to the various indignities and punishments that are inflicted on all parts of her body. This can be a hard film to watch, the script was written by the lady herself and the emotions are real and laid bare. The punishments are hard and leave their mark.
